Grieving Daughter Texted Her Late Father Every Day Because She Missed Him | 4 Years Later, She Gets An Unexpected Reply

Chastity Patterson did not expect a reply from her late dad. She was stunned when she got the most beautiful message from a man who was going through turmoil, just like her.

No matter how old they are or how mature they might become, their father remains their first hero. That is how special the bond between fathers and daughters is. Therefore, the loss of their superhero is heartbreaking to any daughter. It can break them into pieces and shatter their wonderful world. A woman from Arkansas went through those extreme emotions. However, years later, her heart is at peace after one incident that changed her life.

According to Fox10, Chastity Patterson lost her father, Jason Ligons 4 years ago. But, the young girl could not let go of the relationship they shared. In order to keep it alive, she sent text messages to his phone number every day. She described her day, wrote to him about every detail. Years went by and the girl went on sending text messages.

On 25 October 2019, a day before his fourth death anniversary, something rather unexpected happened. Just like any other day, Chastity had sent a text message to the number. In the message, she recalled her eventful year. She told him how much she missed him and then went on to tell how she had beaten cancer. The young lady then informed her late father about graduating from college with honors and even mentioned her recent heartbreak. Only this time, unlike in the past, Chastity got a reply from her dad's number.

"Hi sweetheart, I am not your father, but I have been getting all your messages for the past four years. I look forward to your morning messages and your nightly updates. My name is Brad and I lost my daughter in a car wreck August 2014 and your messages kept me alive. When you text me, I know it's a message from God," said the message. "I'm sorry you lost someone so close to you, but I have listened to you over the years and I have watched you grow and go through more than anyone. I have wanted to text you back for years, but I didn't want to break your heart," wrote Brad.

The man who mourned the loss of his daughter called the young girl his "angel." "You are an extraordinary woman and I wish my daughter would have become the woman you are, thank you for your everyday updates, you remind me that there is a God and it wasn't his fault that my little girl is gone. He gave me you, my little angel and I knew this day was coming. Everything will be okay, you to push yourself everyday and shine the light God gave you. I'm sorry you have to go through this, but if it makes it any better, I am very proud of you," wrote the man.

Chastity was stunned. All this while, she was not expecting anything out of the messages she sent. She posted in on social media and wrote, "I text my dad every day to let him know how my day goes, for the past four years! Today was my sign that everything is okay and I can let him rest!"

Her post touched the hearts of people all over the internet and the young girl told users about her late dad. He told them that her father was not her biological dad. However, he was the one whom she looked up to from a very young age. "I've cried with him, told him everything and even became very independent because he took the time to love me and show me what happiness looks like. SO YES Jason was my father but he was a role model for many kids in our town. I shared my messages for my friends and family to see that there is a God and it might take 4 years, but he shows up right on time!" wrote the girl, according to Daily Mail
