Single Mother Of Three Spends $30K On Plastic Surgery To Look Like Meghan Markle

Greer followed her style icon... right down to her nose and face because she felt that looking like the Duchess would boost her confidence.

Many people have a style icon they look up to. In certain cases, some people even try to emulate their look. But there a few who will go the extra mile to look like their idols. For this single mother of three, Meghan Markle was the model she was going for. Not just that, she spent a whopping $30,000 to look like the Duchess of Sussex. The Daily Mail spills the story.

Xochytl "Xochi" Greer wanted to document her transformation and did so on ABC News' Nightline. Greer, who is a 36-year-old lawyer from Houston, Texas, underwent liposuction, fat grafting, and rhinoplasty, hoping that looking like the beautiful Duchess would also better her life.

'I think she’s a beautiful woman, and, as I’m changing the features that I have, yes, I want those features to more resemble Meghan,' she said before going under the knife.

For Greer, watching Markle's role as the corporate lawyer, Rachel Zane, in the initial episodes of Suits (a legal drama), was a true enjoyment. Not just that, she said that she is quite frequently told that she resembles the actress-turned-Duchess.

"I take that as a huge amazing compliment because she’s a gorgeous woman," she said. "That has kind of helped inspire me and triggered how I knew what I wanted to do."

In order to undertake this project, Greer found Dr. Franklin Rose, a plastic surgeon in Houston well-known for achieving similar transformations. To put it into perspective, in 2018, he had performed plastic surgery on two women, Jenny Stuart and Sarah Schmidt, to give them the looks of Ivanka Trump.

Well, for Greer, this was her chance to turn over a new leaf in her life and to finally get rid of all her insecurities. "My body has changed since having another child. My self-esteem was just lower because the way things went with the father of my child," she explained. "I am hoping that this will give me something that I need to get back out there."

She also admitted that she faced difficulty talking to men "in a non-friendship manner," which is why she felt that changing her face to resemble Meghan Markle would boost her confidence.

"The plastic surgery just helps to give me more self-confidence on my outward appearance while I am fixing my inward appearance, you know, privately through therapy and things," she said. Considering her journey was being documented, Nightline also shared the footage of her consultation.

Dr. Rose told Greer, "We’re going to soften the nose. It’s a pretty nose, really. We’ll get it a little bit more like Meghan Markle. We’re going to make two baby incisions so you get rid of all this baby fat."

In an interview with the news program, Dr. Rose was asked if he conducted any psycho-evaluations on his patients who want to alter their appearance. He said, "I have examined maybe 30,000 patients over this surgical career of mine, so you can tell very quickly who is a stable a patient or patients who have unreasonable expectations."

Just before heading in for her surgery, Greer held up a picture of Markle on her phone and said, "This is the end game, right? This is what we're trying to get as close to as possible."

Seven hours of surgery later, she said [after seeing her bandaged face], "I can already see some changes. I am really, really excited to see these results once the swelling goes down."

As for how she felt after undergoing the surgery, she said "I didn't realize how down I was until I realized how happy I am and excited, and I get out of bed happy. I didn't go into this with an unrealistic expectation [that] people were going to go, 'Oh my gosh, is that Meghan Markle?' There are certain features that resemble Meghan now."

"But I look in the mirror and I still see me, just a better version of me," the mother of three added.

In another interview, Greer explains why she did what she did.

"I had very big self-confidence issues, but now I feel I can put on a nice dress and don’t need to wear much make-up because I feel great. I still wear the same sized clothing but they fit perfectly now, I don’t have big long rolls hanging out of my pants anymore."

Adding, she said, "I don’t think I look identical to Meghan Markle, but I do see our similarities a lot more now, my nose definitely resembles hers more closely. I also had fillers in my jawline to have a stronger jaw like she does, so I do feel I more strongly resemble her now."

It's not just her though. Greer revealed that her 2-year-old daughter Isla now yells, "Mommy, mommy," when she sees the Duchess of Sussex of television. She mentions that all three of her children feel that she seems to have more energy since the surgery.

Looks like the Duchess is even more of a role model than one would expect.
