You find out that he is a mama's boy and won't do anything to defend you. Such is the story of this Reddit user, throwaway3743p9 who took to the subreddit, to share her story with the community and asked if she was the one at fault for going home without informing her after she overheard her husband tell his mother that he didn't want to bring her along.

She wrote, "My husband goes on annual vacations with his family. I'm on okay terms with them but since we've only been married for a short time and I don't see his family much, we still have that barrier that keeps us from being completely comfortable around each other. He agreed to take me and his family was surprised to see me but still welcomed me."
