The video showed the Bryant family laughing and being joyous together. She revealed how she missed Gigi and Kobe.
The death of the basketball legend Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gigi Bryant shocked the world. Moreover, it broke the heart of Vanessa Bryant and left her without her husband and her lovely daughter. After opening up about her inexplicable pain during Kobe and Gigi's memorial, the 37-year-old took to Instagram to cherish their precious times as a family.
She posted a video on 28 February, 2020 that depicted the joy she shared along with her husband and their beautiful children. "Missing you both so much #GigiBryant and @kobebryant … Even missing your ‘earthquakes’ - (leg shakes),” wrote the grieving wife and mother along with the clip. It showed the Bryants playing cards, cuddling, dancing and laughing together along with Beyonce's song XO playing in the background.
The song was one of Kobe's favorites and was sung by Beyonce at his memorial service on 24 February, 2010. "I’m here because I love Kobe, and this was one of his favorite songs,” stated the Grammy-winning singer during the service.
“Your love is bright as ever. Even in the shadows. Baby kiss me. Before they turn the lights out. Your heart is glowing and I’m crashing into you. Baby kiss me, before they turn the lights out, before they turn the lights out,” wrote Vanessa under the heartwarming video taken from Kobe’s documentary, Kobe Bryant’s Muse, according to Huffington Post.
While Vanessa has praised her husband's commitment as a father, the video is a clear indicator of how he enjoyed spending quality time with his love and children. The video that captures his affection for his family proves every word Vanessa told about him during her heartfelt eulogy at the memorial service. “Kobe was the MVP of girl dads, or MVD. He never left the toilet seat up. He always told the girls how beautiful and smart they are. He taught them how to be brave,” said Vanessa, according to People.
She continued, "He had a tender heart. But I want my daughters to know the amazing person, husband and father he was. The kind of man who wanted to teach the future generations to be better... he taught us all valuable lessons about life and sports... we’re so thankful he left those lessons and stories behind for us."
She also reflected on how he considered her his queen and treated her the best. During her speech, she asked Kobe to take care of her baby girl. "Babe, you take care of our Gigi. And I got Nani, B.B. and Koko. We’re still the best team."
