The man was "demanding for a Jaguar car from his father, but when his father failed to buy one, he threw away his BMW in a fit of anger," a police official said.
When we're young and caught up in our own world, sometimes we forget just how hard our parents work to fulfill our needs and keep us happy. This young man's parents did their best to fulfill his birthday wishes, but rather than being grateful, he chose to be oblivious to their efforts.
The 22-year-old man from India, named Akash, already owns several SUVs of his own, as reported by ABC News. He made his wishes very clear to his parents that he wanted a brand new Jaguar for his birthday. But when his parents gifted him a BMW 3 Series a couple of months ago, he was quite unimpressed. It was reported that Akash believed it was too small for him and his buddies.
To buy him a brand new car, the parents had even sold one of the cars they already had to make him happy, but Akash felt that their efforts fell short.
"Akash was demanding for a Jaguar car from his father, but when his father failed to buy one, he threw away his BMW in a fit of anger," a local police official said, according to CBS News. "His family had sold the Innova they had received from his in-laws to buy him the BMW."

Angry and "arrogant", the 22-year-old is said to have pushed his vehicle into a river. People who saw the incident happening said that Akash got himself out of the vehicle before it went deeper into the waters. He was brought to safety with the help of some onlookers and his car was later retrieved with the help of a crane.
"I wanted to give my son a birthday present. We could only afford to give him a BMW, while he kept on insisting that he be given a Jaguar. He said the vehicle was too small but we thought he will be okay," the young man's father said, according to Fox News. "We never imagined he would do anything like this."
Akash had even filmed a video of the car surrounded by water and sent it to his parents. "When the youth was plunging the high-end BMW car into the river, he also made a video and put it on social media," a police official told IANS, as reported by News 18.
"The youth was arrogant and kept insisting that he be given a Jaguar as a BMW is a little small for him and his friends inside," said a police official. "We would do a preliminary investigation but this seems to be a personal matter. We will proceed according to the law."
Some reports say that the father claimed that his son didn't deliberately drive the car into the river. But in his attempt to avoid an antelope on the road, he lost some control over the car and ended up swerving towards the river.
People who got to know about the incident had a lot of opinions about the way the son dealt with the situation. In his tweet, Joseph Page wrote, "Sadly, if the 22-year-old deals with disappointment like that! He’s in for a rude awakening for the rest of his life!"
Another user tweeted, "I don't go home for a month when I misplace my mother's Tupperware & yol just throw away cars ???"
Most people agree that getting a car from his parents in the first place was more than enough reason to be thankful to his parents.
