The revelation was so appalling for the viewers that the views and shares shot her to viral fame. Maddy opens up about her experience and in a hilarious mood explains how she would receive the Excel spreadsheet of expenses from her ex-boyfriend every month. So much so, that the spreadsheet she shared also included the cost of the banana which kept the viewers rolling with laughter and amazement.
Maddy’s former boyfriend came up with the idea and expressed it would help them both manage their finances to which she agreed without any ounce of doubt. The next thing she sees, she gets mailed with an attachment of an expenditure sheet made in Excel every month. In a TikTok video, Maddy reveals not a cent was left out of the expense sheet.

“I just want to clarify that I would not stand for this anymore. But I did for three years,” she speaks in the beginning about the relationship and that she is not dating the guy anymore. The TikTok user told her that she was going through her emails when she came across the seemingly “professional” emails from her ex-boyfriend.
Talking about the highlighted columns and details she said, “Yeah, so he would send me about one of these a month. As you can see, he was nice enough to color code it.” The sheet includes expenses like Uber rides, alcohol, and pastries. “Then at the bottom of this, I think it got cut out, would be the totals of everything I owed,” Maddy continues as the video progresses.

That was not all, as Maddy went on to share how the two even exchanged “corporate-like” emails discussing the mistakes in sheet and miscalculations if ever witnessed, “We had some very corporate-sounding emails back and forth,” she recalls and concludes by saying “So yeah, that was what that was like. This is a huge red flag.”

While the online dating application Tinder’s official TikTok account left a quirky yet sensible comment saying, “Is there anything less romantic than an Excel spreadsheet?” and we can’t deny it.
