What You Realize When You Hide The Pain And Smile Through It All

What You Realize When You Hide The Pain And Smile Through It All

No matter how exhausting it may feel or how difficult it feels, you only show the world that strong and brave side of yours.

They love you for who you are, they are proud of all you've achieved, but not all of them really understand the turbulent emotions that hide behind that calm face. Even when the going gets tough, you put a smile and push the pain aside, and that's when you realize these things.

1. You brave through the pain because you know you'll survive

Pain isn't new to you. Life has put you through some of the worst experiences and most heartbreaking moments, and you have still come out of the other end. You know that even though you're going through a rough patch now, you will come out from the other side stronger and a lot more mature.

2. You keep your head held high through the toughest days

The weight you carry on your shoulders and the pain you have in your heart is heavy, but that doesn't drag you down. No problem can stop you from holding your head up and showing the world just how brave you are. And this because your strong exterior hides your sensitive side.

3. You show people nothing but your positive side

There is always a smile on your face and comfort in your demeanor. And that's why people always see your positive side. You put up a front for people and show them nothing but your warmth.

4. You never say 'no' if it means putting a smile on someone's face

There's so much you have learned from all those heartbreaking experiences of your life and you would never want anyone else to go through the same pain. And that's exactle why you always show up for people and you never say 'no' if you think it'll give them the hope they need to power through. While you may carry your pain with you, you want others to have experiences that they are proud of.

5. You find reasons to laugh and distract yourself from pain

You find all the reasons in the world to ignore the pain. You throw your head back and let out a laugh in front of your family and friends, trying to distract yourself from what you're really feeling inside.

6. You never say the truth when they ask you how you are

The only answers you give people are "I am fine" or "everything's okay" whenever they ask you how you are doing. Even when things are far from fine, you don't open up to just anyone about what's really going on through your mind. Sometimes others around and you yourself may forget that even you can do with a shoulder to lean on.

7. You solve everyone else's problems and leave yours for last

You never let your troubles change the person you are. You may have kept your hurt and pain to yourself, and found peace in showing kindness to those you care about, supporting them as they pushed through their problems. You don't think twice about putting someone else's needs before yours because you know you'll carry on, and you want others to do that, too.

8. You feel exhausted but you never stop moving forward

Hiding your pain from the world while you break down when you're alone can suck all the energy out of you. It can be exhausting when you're trying to pretend to be someone else in front of others when deep down you feel the complete opposite. It is the kind of thing that can leave you feeling lonely.

9. You get used to fighting your battles alone

There's no battle that's too tough for you to fight, and you know that. You know that there's a strong and bold woman in you and she's been able to push you this far. But that's also why you are so used to dealing with your problems by yourself and making through it alone.

Remember...

You have it in you to fight through the pain you're going through. But you don't always have to weather the storm alone. Sometimes you can even find strength in confronting your emotions head on. When you feel even your darkest emotions fully instead of suppressing it in front of others, it empowers you with an understanding of what you're going through.

Don't hesitate to ask for help, because the ones who stick by you on your good days can be the ones who are ready to fight with you on your dark days.
