They got married in 1991 after meeting on the sets of "Bad Influence."
Rob Lowe is celebrating his 31st wedding anniversary with his wife Sheryl Berkoff. He posted a photo of Berkoff on Instagram to commemorate the occasion. He wrote in the caption, "Happy 31st Anniversary, baby. Your love has made my world. You are as beautiful, knowledgeable, fascinating, kind, and hilarious as you were so many glorious years ago."
He concluded the post by writing, "Partners in love for life!!"
Berkoff and Lowe have been married since 1991. They originally met while working on Lowe's 1990 erotic thriller, Bad Influence. Matthew Edward Lowe, 29, and John Owen Lowe, 27, are the couple's two sons, reports PEOPLE.
Lowe also paid a beautiful homage to Berkoff on her 61st birthday in June. He posted a photo of hers with the caption, "Happy Birthday to the love of my life. You are the whole package, and I am blessed. Here’s to many more years of love and fun! Xoxo." He has also previously spoken about his wife and their relationship is extremely special.
He told PEOPLE in January, "I had the feeling that if I was ever going to be able to make it work with anybody, it was Sheryl." After meeting Berkoff, Lowe entered therapy and made a lifelong commitment to his rehabilitation. He said, "I'm happy I lived the life that I lived because I have no regrets, but I was super ready to coach Little League, carve pumpkins on Halloween, read books and serve hot lunch on Wednesdays."
During the interview, the actor also stated that he will be eternally thankful to Berkoff for taking a chance on him. He added, "She saw things in me that nobody had ever seen before." He further said, "I still think she's the hottest, sexiest, most beautiful, insane, complicated, entertaining person that I know, in addition to being a great mother." For their part, sons Matthew a lawyer, and John, a TV writer, consider themselves lucky to have grown up in such a loving environment—and aren't afraid to seek counsel from their father. Matthew said, "He's great with relationship advice. He'll say, 'When I found your mother, I knew she was the one. I married my best friend, and it's worked out perfectly for me. So take that advice.' ... He gives little pearls of wisdom like that that I keep with me. Hopefully, I will end up in a 30-year marriage like him."
