Prince Harry Says His Brother William "Aired Some Concerns" About Him Marrying Meghan Markle "Very Early On"
Prince Harry opened up about his brother seemingly giving him a heads-up about what his future with Meghan Markle could look like.

The Royal Family has become the center of controversies once again now with recent revelations by Prince Harry ahead of the launch of his memoir Spare stirring talks of an apparent rift between him and his brother, Prince William.

According to PEOPLE, in a new interview, Harry opened up about his brother seemingly giving him a heads-up about what his future with former actress Meghan Markle could look like. The father-of-two said that William "aired some concerns" about his relationship with Meghan "very early on."

Harry spoke about how his close family members reacted to his new romance with Meghan during the promotion of his memoir in an interview with ITV's Tom Bradby. The younger son of the late Princess Diana recalled how Prince William and Kate Middleton reacted as he expressed his wish to marry Meghan who was divorced and also biracial.
"Some of the things that my brother and sister-in-law — some of the way that they were acting or behaving definitely felt to me as though, unfortunately, that stereotyping was causing a bit of a barrier to them really sort of, you know, introducing or welcoming her in," Harry remarked.

On the show which was aired on January 8, interviewer Bradby also asked Prince Harry if his elder brother tried to dissuade him from marrying Meghan and to reconsider his decision. Harry replied that William "never did that," and went on to clarify that his brother never discouraged him from pursuing the relationship but gave hints about the consequences.

"No, he never tried to dissuade me from marrying Megan," he said, "but he aired some concerns, very early on and said, 'you know, this is gonna be really hard for you'. And still, to this day, I don't truly understand which part of what he was talking about."
"But maybe, you know, maybe he predicted what the British press's reaction was gonna be," he stated, referencing the constant vilification his wife had to face at the hands of British tabloids.

In Spare, an extract of which was published by The Guardian last week, Prince Harry claims that he was physically attacked by Prince William in 2019 during a brawl between the brothers.

The brothers reportedly traded harsh words when William called Harry's wife "difficult," "rude," and "abrasive". Harry said Williams was "parrot[ing of] the press narrative" about his wife but he didn’t dare to raise his hand at his elder brother while he provoked Harry to attack him.
