The British royal family's tumultuous relationships have long been visible to the whole world. Now, in his highly anticipated autobiography Spare, Prince Harry reportedly mentions how he was knocked onto the floor by his brother Prince William over his relationship with Meghan Markle.
According to The Guardian, the book describes a confrontation at the younger prince's London home in 2019 where Prince William, the future king of Great Britain, allegedly called Markle "difficult," "rude" and "abrasive."

Harry reportedly claims in his autobiography that the heated argument escalated into a physical assault when his brother "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and... knocked me to the floor." The altercation resulted in visible injury to his back, the father-of-two claims. Harry is also said to have written that his brother's comments about Markle were "parrot[ing of] the press narrative" about his American wife.

Harry's autobiography is set to be published worldwide next week. A copy of the book was obtained by Guardian which explains that the title, Spare, refers to an old adage in royal and aristocratic circles about a first son being the heir to "titles, power, and fortune," and a second son being a spare should anything happen to the first-born.
The book reportedly mentions that William wanted to discuss "the whole rolling catastrophe" of their relationship and issues with the media. However, when William showed up at Nottingham Cottage—where he was then residing—he was already "piping hot," Harry states in the autobiography.

William kept complaining about Meghan, and as the argument continued, Harry writes, he told his brother that he was just repeating what the media was saying and that he hoped for better. Harry claims that William was acting irrationally, which is what caused the two men to start shouting at one another.

Heated words and insults were flung about before William claimed he was trying to help, Harry writes. "Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?" Harry responded. He claims that his brother was enraged by that remark and moved closer to him while cursing.

Harry reportedly states in the book that he then fled to the kitchen with his enraged brother following him. He offered a glass of water to his older brother and said "Willy, I can't speak to you when you’re like this," the 38-year-old recounts.

This gesture by Harry still didn't end the heated argument. "He set down the water, called me another name, then came at me. It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor. I landed on the dog's bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out," the upcoming book reportedly states.
