Prince Charles Tested Positive For Coronavirus | Camilla And Charles Remain In Self-Isolation At Home In Scotland

The last public event attended by Prince Charles was a dinner and reception organized on March 12.

In the wake of the pandemic, countries across the globe are taking stringent measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus. More people are being tested positive, albeit being asymptomatic.

Prince Charles, too, has been tested positive, according to a statement released by the Clarence House, reports BBC. The Prince of Wales, aged 71, had a few mild symptoms but continues to remain in good health otherwise, according to the spokesman. His wife, Duchess of Cornwall, 72, who was also tested came out negative for the virus.

According to the Guardian, the Clarence House' spokesperson clarified that the couple has chosen to self-isolate themselves at home in Balmoral:

In accordance with Government and medical advice, the Prince and the Duchess are now self-isolating at home in Scotland.
The tests were carried out by the NHS in Aberdeenshire where they met the criteria required for testing.
It is not possible to ascertain from whom the Prince caught the virus owing to the high number of engagements he carried out in his public role during recent weeks.

Prince Charles has been working from home, much like the rest of us, throughout the last few days.

According to Sky News, the last public event attended by Prince Charles was a dinner and reception organized on March 12 for the Australian bushfire relief effort. The event took place in London at the Mansion House. Well aware of the health crisis a few weeks ago, the prince acted with precaution and greeted guests with a "namaste" rather than a handshake earlier that day at an investiture ceremony at Buckingham Palace.
