Pierce Brosnan, Who Makes Many Go Weak In The Knees, Has Eyes Only For Wife Keely|When She "Looks At Me, I Go Weak" He Says

Pierce Brosnan married his wife, Keely Shaye Smith in 2001 after he lost his first wife to cancer.

They say a man's character is measured by the way he conducts himself and treats his woman. Pierce Brosnan is one of Hollywood's most charming actors. While many women are swept off the floor by her charming looks and impeccable acting, the man has set his heart on one woman for the past 27 years of his life. The woman is none other than his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.

Speaking of his amazing partner, Brosnan once stated, "She has this strength that I wouldn't be able to live without. When Keely looks at me, I go weak," according to the Daily Mail. He added, "I love her vitality, her passion." Though years have passed by since their first meeting, Brosnan still carries a special appreciation and love for Smith. In fact, he describes her as the "strength" he wouldn’t be able to live without.

According to People, the couple met in 1994. Smith was drawn to him instantaneously. "He was captivating. Tall, dark and handsome—everything that everybody would immediately be attracted to. He had this mischievous sparkle in his eyes. I thought, 'Wow! Wow!'" according to People. At the time, Brosnan was in the process of getting over one of the lowest points in life. Having lost his first wife, Cassandra, the actor was left to care for his three children.

However, meeting Keely changed his life forever. Few days after their initial meeting, the couple met each other for their first date. It was just magical. Recalling that night, Smith stated that they "sat down under the stars and he held my hand. There were fireworks going off over our heads, and Kenny Loggins was singing. We talked until 3 in the morning," according to People.

The attraction was mutual and Brosnan wanted to be by her side as often as possible. "Wherever I went in the world I missed her, and I’d send her tickets to come so we could be together. We just seemed to fit," said the James Bond actor, about their connection.

Moreover, Brosnan felt lucky to have found love again after losing his ex-wife. "I know what it is like to be a widower and what it is like to find love again," Pierce Brosnan told Express. "So I know there’s hope and that you have to learn to get on with it. Ups and downs are what life is all about."

Soon they welcomed their baby in 1997. It was followed by the birth of their second child in 2001. Months after the birth, the couple decided it was time for them to tie the knot. Since then, Brosnan and Smith have been together through thick and thin. "I found a great woman in Keely Shaye. Not if I searched a million times over would I find one as good," said the Brosnan about his wife, according to The Sun.

Besides, the actor stated how his wife respected his emotions relating to the death of Cassie. She allowed him to grieve and gave him space while looking out for him. "Keely has always been kind and compassionate and encouraged me to mourn Cassie... I suppose Keely is my North Star, always looking out for me," said the actor, according to Express.

She was also a strong pillar for the actor when he lost his daughter, Charlotte to cancer. As the years go by, their love for each other is just growing more and more. Alluding to how they spent time, Brosnan stated, "My wife and I took a short road trip up to Santa Barbara — we were going for a romantic weekend and to look at houses and drink great wine. We didn’t listen to any music, but we just listened to the sounds of each other’s voices and sorted out the world."

Their sacred and trusting relationship allows them to find peace in each other even in their worst situations.
