Harley Joe Morgan and Rhiannon Boudreaux were childhood sweethearts who dreamed of a life together. But their fate was cruel to them
Every person who falls in love hopes to be with their partner for the rest of their lives. They dream of a future together and make plans to blossom as a couple. But sometimes, before they could even start, they are faced with a full stop brought in by fate. That is what happened to Harley Joe Morgan and Rhiannon Boudreaux. They loved each and hoped to start a life together.
According to People, Harley 19 and his love Rhiannon 20 was killed in a car crash right after they tied the knot. “They hadn’t even been married for five minutes,” said Harley's mother LaShawna Morgan to WLKY.
Reports say that the couple had just gotten married at the Office of the Justice of the Peace in Texas in front of their friends and family member. The couple planned to celebrate their wedding with a cake at Harley’s mother’s house after they finished some office procedures. However, everything changed in the blink of an eye.
The couple who were heading to the county courthouse to file their marriage license was hit by a trailer loaded with a tractor on Texas 87, near the local airport. The impact of the crash was so immense that the couple's car flipped multiple times before it landed in a ditch. The couple was declared dead on the spot by Orange County Justice of the Peace Joy Dubose-Simonton who conducted their nuptials.
Family and friends who followed the couple's car witnessed the dreadful incident. However, the groom's mother could not come to terms with it for hours, reported WLKY. She was reportedly standing at the highway when the officers brought over the blood-stained bouquet and an envelope containing the marriage license.
“The only thing they wanted was to get married and start their life. The two of them had so many dreams and they wanted their family surrounding them. Life is precious. You don’t know how much longer you are going to have a person. Stop worrying about the small stuff. This should’ve been the happily ever after story," told Harley's mother. Police informed that they were looking to the accident and also said that the truck driver was left with no injuries.
Harley and Rhiannon were childhood sweethearts and dated while in school. The two wanted a future together and were even hoping for a formal wedding ceremony in December. Harley was planning to go back to college and Rhiannon wanted to attend nursing school.
