Brittani Boren Leach did not imagine she would have to give away her son. Heartbroken by the loss, she lives in his memories.

Losing a child is not easy to deal with. It will affect you emotionally and leave you broken. No matter how many days or years may pass by, the memories of your child will always remain fresh. Brittani Boren Leach is such a mother. The death of her son, Crew shattered her life forever and today all she has is his memories.

According to Café Mom, Leach had put her 3-month-old for a nap on Christmas Day 2019 at a relative's house. However, the events that followed changed her life forever. The baby did not wake up from his sleep and the infant was admitted to the hospital. The heartbroken mother wrote on Instagram, "I don’t have any words right now, other than to desperately ask for your prayers. Not the kind that you say 'I’m praying for you' and don’t, but the kind where you fall on your knees and beg God for a miracle. We are living a nightmare, and I’m dying inside. Please pray for my baby. This can’t be real."

In the days that followed, the 29-year-old mother updated people about her baby's health and treatment. She wrote, "Right now Crew is 'stable' and the ventilator is breathing for him. They are working on stabilizing his body and tomorrow he will have an MRI to determine his brain function and that will determine the next step. I can’t explain to you what this feels like. This kind of thing only happens to 'other' people. Not me. I just want to crawl in bed with my baby and nurse him," according to Instagram.

However, days later, the mother was learned that her boy could not be saved. She wrote, "Crew’s tiny earthly body is still with us, although I know he’s already dancing and playing in Heaven. We have some hard decisions to make over the next 12 hours, that no parent should ever have to make. We need prayer now, more than before, specifically prayers for peace and clarity on the decisions that have to be made, and for our hearts, the pain is unbearable," according to Instagram.

On 30 December 2019,  while experiencing inexplicable sorrow, the mother confirmed the death of her son. She even added that his organs were donated. She took to Instagram to share pictures of her little boy and told users of the pain she was going through. She told them that she buried him with a dress that she made out of her wedding outfit. She wrote, "how I wish this picture was taken today, I would give anything just to hold him this close again. Those of you who were following me before and “knew” Crew, knew he lived in this wrap. It was his favorite place to be," according to Instagram.

The Youtuber continued, "We buried him dressed in a gown made from my wedding dress, with a small favorite toy from each of his siblings, and this striped wrap placed snugly over him. I figured, who is better to carry him until I get there than Jesus." The devastated mother asked to cherish every moment they have with their babies. She said, "Take all the pictures. Forget the laundry. Forget the dishes. It really doesn’t matter. Just love your babies. Breathe in their scent. Memorize their smile. And love them really really hard."
