Edi Okoro who likes everything to be as spontaneous as possible posted a series of photographs on Facebook showing how he carried the ring inches away from his girlfriend without her suspecting.
Spending the rest of your life with the person you love is a dream come true for most people. Planning the proposal and popping that million-dollar question are important steps leading up to it. Most people want to do it just right and plan it meticulously.
However, one man, Edi Okoro, decided to make it spontaneous. He carried the ring everywhere until he found the right moment.
According to Mirror Online, Edi who likes to go with his spontaneous style carried the ring with him. He secretly took pictures with the engagement ring featuring his partner, Cally Read who had no idea she was just inches away from the ring. "Some plan a flash mob, a fancy meal, or even arrange a marry me a sign. I couldn’t do this because “Edi doesn’t plan .... I’m a spontaneous improviser!," wrote the 30-year-old on Facebook.
Edi who wanted to catch his partner off guard waited for the right moment knowing his partner was clever enough to figure out anything he planned. "Cally knows this, and the moment I planned a holiday or meal she would have clocked on to what I was about to do. Because of this I took the ring with me everywhere hoping the “moment” would arise in line with my spontaneous style," wrote Edi. After a month of wandering around with the ring, Edi thought it would be worth if he could document all the moments where his partner failed to realize he had the ring.
"All these missed opportunities mixed in with the thought - Cally doesn’t know I have the ring!! I should just start documenting these moments! 🙈 This escalated quickly into trying to get as many photos of Cally with the ring without her knowing!.... yes she had no idea what I was doing in these photos!!! 🤣," wrote Edi.
The enthusiastic boyfriend then went on a photo marathon trying to click as many pictures without the knowledge of his partner. The photos that were taken over 30 days showed Edi posing with the ring while his partner was sleeping, sightseeing and even sitting right next to him." The idea was to take as many photos, in more daring scenarios, until I found the perfect moment to propose, or until I got caught, at which point I would propose!" wrote the man on Facebook.
After finally finding the right moment, Edi posted a series of 20 photographs on Facebook that caught the attention of many. The post that went viral garnered 65K shares and 91K likes. Social media users who found the photos hilarious appreciated Edi for his efforts and congratulated the couple on their engagement. "This was so funny and I love the photos. Congrats to you, both! 🌹Looking forward to the proposal story," wrote one while another person wrote, "This is the coolest way to propose ever! Especially because I can so see myself doing something like this..."
Eddie also posted an engagement selfie with his partner with a caption, "So we did end up getting engaged, and no I didn’t get caught 😉.....but how I did it is a story for another time..".
