When they say miracles are real, it's true and a couple from North Carolina were able to experience that firsthand. Ryan Marlow, a 37-year-old pastor from North Carolina, was admitted to the hospital after suffering a rare bacterial infection called listeria. Due to his condition, he spent a fortnight in the hospital, getting the medical care he needs for his recovery, reported Ladbible. But things took a violent turn when the doctors told his wife, Megan Marlow, that her husband's condition had worsened, and that the swelling in the brain had led to a 'neurological death.' Megan mentioned in one of her Facebook live streams that her husband was declared brain dead by the doctors.
The devastated spouse was dealing with the grief of losing her loved one, along with their family members. Since Marlow was a registered organ donor, the medical authorities at the hospital stated that they would keep him on life support while they arranged for recipients of his organs. Marlow's family was disheartened over the news and decided to gather at the hospital on 30th August to bid their final goodbyes to Marlow.
As the family came together, Megan's niece pointed out the unexpected. She said that she saw Marlow's feet twitch when they played a video of his three children playing.
Hanging on to the hope she got through her niece, Megan demanded that her husband's brain function be tested. She told the medical team to arrange one for Marlow, refusing to let them proceed without a brain function test being done.
“Literally, our team was standing there, waiting to take him. I tell the nurse, ‘stop everything right now. I want tests done to see if he’s brain-dead. I need tests done now,’” Megan exclaimed in a live video. The results that came out after the test was a miracle for Megan and her family, while it threw light on the extreme negligence on the part of the hospital authorities. They found out that there was still blood flow to Marlow's brain and the CT scan displayed the same.

Marlow had slipped into a 'deep coma,' his wife stated in her live stream. She posted an update through her Facebook profile, and in the video, she gave a brief update on Marlow's condition. The post was captioned, "Unexpected Update. PRAY."
After Megan posted an update about Marlow's condition, support, good wishes, and love poured in from all over the world, with people praying for Marlow's speedy recovery. One comment on Megan's update read, "It’s a blessing he can be surrounded by friends and family till he gets better. God can do what doctors cannot!!! Praying for him to become more responsive and wake up soon!! Hoping that God is just giving him time to sleep to heal. Our bodies do their best healing when asleep. Love hearing the little signs of hope, that there are movements and pupils are better. God is good!!! God can!!"
