Actor-Comedian Kevin Hart Sustains Major Spinal Injuries In Late-Night Car Accident

He's made thousands and thousands of people laugh with his unique onscreen persona. And now, in return, people are offering their best wishes and support to Kevin Hart who recently came out of an accident with severe injuries.

On Sunday, September 1, the actor-comedian was rushed to the hospital after his 1970 Plymouth Barracuda tumbled into an embankment, according to California Highway Patrol, reported by BBC.

Driving the car was Jared Black, who lost control of the car as he was driving a little after midnight. Jared Black and Kevin Hart came out of the accident with "major back injuries" while the third person in the car, who according to Today was Jared Black's fiancée Rebecca Broxterman, did not have injuries that were as severe.



 

According to CNN, the car was a birthday gift that Kevin Hart got himself when he turned 40, on the occasion of which he wrote on Instagram, "I added some more muscle to the family for my 40th....welcome home 'Menace'"



 

Just hours after the horrible accident, the 40-year-old underwent surgery on Sunday evening which doctors deemed went successfully, according to TMZ. The impact of the accident was reportedly so severe that roof of the vehicle was crushed completely. The fire department had to saw off the roof to get to the people in the car, and they found Jared Black pinned in his seat.

Although the accident was so terrible, people believe that Kevin Hart is on the road to recovery and his wife, Eniko Hart said that her husband is "going to be just fine".



 

Since the news of his accident came out, people have been sending their support for the actor and comedian's speedy recovery.



 

Bryan Cranston said, "I’ve just heard that @kevinhart4real was injured today in a car accident in Los Angeles. Let’s all send him positive energy and healing thoughts. He’s a good human. Get well soon, brother. B"

"Best wishes to Kevin Hart I hope he will be okay after his horrific accident," said Martha Stewart‏.

Among the many who sent their love and prayers, Salma Hayek was one of them, who said, "@kevinhart4real we love you and we are praying for you."



 

"The car can be replaced. But the comedy world could never replace @kevinhart4real!" said Arsenio Hall, while T.I. said, "Aight now Hurry up & Shake tf back ASAP big bro so we can laugh about this shit.... It’s a lotta love & genuine respect out here for you. You mean so much to so many!!! My family’s thoughts and prayers are with you & all of yours!!!! @kevinhart4real"



 

"Laughter heals all wounds, and that’s one thing that everybody shares. No matter what you’re going through, it makes you forget about your problems. I think the world should keep laughing," Kevin Hart once said, according to Fearless Motivation. And hopefully, he will be able to get through his recovery soon and continue to spread laughter as he always has.
