Keanu Reeves has had a very tragic life. But the actor has finally found love again.

Sometimes, unfortunate events occur when we least expect it. These circumstances may be so painful that it shapes the way we look at life. Keanu Reeves, one of the most loved actors from Hollywood went through such a tragic event. He once lost his child and his beloved and carried that pain in his heart for many years.

The Matrix star met Jennifer Syme in 1998 during a party that was organized in the honor of his band, Dog Star. The talented woman had just entered the world of entertainment a year ago and had secured a minor role with the famous director, David Lynch, according to Faboiosa. Reeves was smitten and Syme, who was eight years younger than him, instantly fell in love with him. The couple eventually started dating and kept their relationship private for a long time. However, they could not hide it for long from the eagle eyes of the public.

A year into their happy relationship, the couple became pregnant. They were delighted to welcome their baby daughter. They decided to call her Ava. But, fate was cruel to the couple. On the Eve of Christmas in 1999, their baby girl was born stillborn. The couple was heartbroken. Reeves, who had already gone through devastating losses in the past, could not bear the pain of losing his child. Syme, on the other hand, suffered deep postnatal depression, according to Daily Mail. The couple soon parted ways and grieved the loss privately. However, they stayed close and shared a bond. But, the couple had no clue of the heart-wrenching events that would follow.

Just two years later, Jennifer died in an accident while driving back from a party. The news was a hard blow on Reeve. It shattered his world forever. Recalling the incidents, Reeves said, "Grief changes shape, but it never ends. People have a misconception that you can deal with it and say, 'It's gone, and I'm better.' They're wrong. When the people you love are gone, you're alone," according to Daily Mail.

His words showed how much he missed them. He stated, "I miss being a part of their lives and them being part of mine. I wonder what the present would be like if they were here - what we might have done together. I miss all the great things that will never be. Damn it! It's not fair! It's absurd."

"All you can do is hope that grief will be transformed and, instead of feeling pain and confusion you will be together again in memory, that there will be solace and pleasure there, not just loss," said the actor. Despite the pain, he stated that he was looking forward to getting married one day.

"I don't want to flee from life. I'm trying not to be alone so much. And, man, it's a struggle. I want to get married. I want to have kids. That's at the top of the mountain. I've got to climb the mountain first. I'll do it. Just give me some time," asked the 55-year-old.

Fortunately, the actor found love again. Reeves is now dating 46-year-old artist Alexandra Grant. The couple met in 2009 during a dinner party. Eventually, the duo started working together. They have produced two books—Ode to Happiness, released in 2011, and Shadows, released in 2016. Ode to Happiness was Reeves' first step into the writing world and Grant's first artist book, according to People.

However, the public came to know of their relationship after they were seen holding hands at the red carpet of the LACMA Art + Film event in LA. The couple looked so in love and everyone gushed over the duo. Though Reeves has not talked about his recent love, it looks like he has finally found the one for him.
