The cast members of the show congratulated the couple through social media.
The Jersey Shore sweethearts Mike Sorrentino and Lauren Pesce have exciting news for their fans. The couple took to social media to share the news.
The Instagram post stated, "We have a Baby Situation," along with a holiday-themed picture. The image showed the couple along with their dog Mosey in the kitchen with "Baby Sorrentino May 2020" written in flour across the counter, according to MTV News.
Lauren, too, took to social media to reveal the big news. She shared the same snaps and wrote, "Our biggest blessing is on it’s(sic) way."
The posts were welcomed by the cast members of the show. They congratulated the soon to be parents and shared their excitement.
"So excited for you both! Love you guys so much," wrote Deena Cortese. "LOVE YOU BOTH🙏🏽❤️ sooo sooo excited for you!" wrote Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi, according to People. She continued, "Sooo happy for you my mawma! Always here for you! Call me when your nipples grow the size of a small plate."
The pregnancy news comes after the couple suffered from a miscarriage. At the time, the couple talked of how difficult the situation was, according to People.
“It was the most traumatic thing I’ve ever experienced in my life, and I think also for Mike because he was seeing me suffer and he didn’t know how to take it away,” said Lauren.
However, they stated they were hopeful and would keep trying again. "We’re definitely trying again. We’re excited to move forward in that chapter of our lives. Hopefully, it happens and once it does it will definitely be a blessing," said Mike.
The couple tied the knot on November 1, 2018. Mike proposed to his beloved on Valentine's Day that year. The emotional engagement, however, unfolded on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in June 2018. The star got down on one knee and delivered a heartfelt speech about his love for Lauren.
He said, "I fell in love with you because you loved me when I couldn’t even love myself." The speech moved many co-stars to tears.
The MTV star later told viewers, "We’ve been through so much, and for us to finally get engaged, it’s really special. Because it wasn’t guaranteed. It’s been very stormy for a while. The odds were against me. People bet against me. But against all odds, she’s been there throughout the ups and downs, the good times and the bad times.”
