A team of first responders, firefighters, farm staff, and the neighbors came forward united to pull four horses out. The authorities informed NBC Montana that the video surfacing on the internet is of an icy pond in Montana. The incident occurred as the young horses were unaware of the slippery icy surface which eventually broke after bearing their weight leading to the mishap.
Four young horses fell through the ice and spent almost three hours in the freezing water before getting pulled out. The crew members of the rescue team took around thirty minutes to pull out each horse from the freezing water. “It was an amazing day, the community really pulled together for this one. Neighbors, first responders, police, ranch employees,” Alexis Langlois told the local news outlet.

A dozen people, including firefighters, staff from Flathead County Animal Control, as well as neighbors worked together as a team to free the horses of the bitter cold agony. Initially, the team first tried to make pontoons from pieces of wood to make a ramp but the plan failed which was later successful after a truck was brought in for help.
The horses were soon taken to a veterinary clinic to receive care and get their vital status checked after the icy dip in the pond accidentally.
