Sylvester Stallone's brother Frank confirmed their mother's death on Instagram.
Losing one's mother is never easy. There are no words that can console a person mourning the loss of the woman who raised you. Hollywood action star, Sylvester Stallone just lost his mother, Jackie Stallone aged 98. Stallone's brother, Frank Stallone confirmed the death of their mother. She passed away on 21 September, 2020. The cause of death has not been revealed, according to People.
Frank took to Instagram to announce the death of their mother. He stated that she had died in her sleep just the way she wanted to. "This morning my brothers and I lost our mother Jackie Stallone. She was the mother to four children, Tommy, Sylvester, Frankie and my late sister Toni Ann. She was a remarkable woman working out everyday full of spunk and fearless. She died in her sleep as she had wished," wrote Frank.
He added, "It was hard not to like her, she was very eccentric and flamboyant person. She was born on November 29 th 1921 in Washington DC, she lived through prohibition, the depression and World War II . I would talk to her for hours about the 20's 30's and 40's. It was a history lesson. Her mind was as sharp as a razor till the day she died. She never wore a mask a true revolutionary gal . I guess I'm drowning my emotions in tears and to much vino. But when you've known someone for 70 yrs it tough and sad. She had seven grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren." He further stated how Stallone took care of their mother.
"My brother Sylvester took care of her like a Queen for all of her life," wrote the woman, according to the post. He concluded the post saying that he will miss the presence of his mother in his life. "I will never be able to call my mom again or have her yell at me why I never got married. But we all loved her and her spirit to survive and prevail. I'll miss you always mommy," wrote the singer.
Jackie was an active social media user. She often used her platform to appreciate her famous children. Last December, she shared a photo of herself with a bouquet of flowers and wrote, "Sylvester sent me a giant bouquet of purple roses for Christmas." She also posted throwback pictures with her children, videos with her dogs, and other life moments. "I’m staying fit, I am studying the accordion daily, 🤫 I think I know as much as my teacher does," shared Jackie in April. She has also shared videos from her tap class.
The mother of the famous actor was also a star. She was the first woman to have a TV show on exercise and weight lifting in Washington D.C, according to USA Today. Later, the mother of four opened a gym for women called Barbella's. Besides, she worked as a manager for GLOW: Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling from 1986 to 1991.
Many took to social media to pay tributes to the accomplished woman. "Oh my heart broke hearing of the passing of #JackieStallone. 98 years young and was still doing Pilates when we last spoke," wrote wrestler Angelina Altishin, a former GLOW wrestler on Twitter. "What a fire she would lite inside me each time we connected. She wasn't just the mother of @TheSlyStallone she was our good girl manager in #glow," she continued.
"TMZ is reporting that Jackie Stallone passed away at the age of 98. The mother of Sylvester Stallone, she was my mentor, my friend & play Aunt. I loved her & will always appreciate her love, friendship & advice. She was so fabulous & loved her children!" wrote radio personality Flo Anthony on Twitter.
Besides, Jackie was an astrologer and psychic. She also made an appearance on Celebrity Big Brother in the U.K. Jackie is survived by her husband, Stephen Levine, her sons Stallone and Frank, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
