Blake Shelton & Gwen Stefani Get Married In Intimate Wedding After Dating For 6 Years: "Dreams Do Come True"

The much-awaited wedding took place in Blake Shelton's private ranch, less than a month after the "Don't Speak" singer sparked wedding rumors as she wore a diamond band on her left hand.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton finally tied the knot on July 3 after dating for almost six years. The much-awaited ceremony took place in Shelton's private ranch, less than a month after the "Don't Speak" singer sparked wedding rumors after being spotted wearing a diamond band on her left hand. Sharing the news of their wedding, both singers posted a string of pictures on their respective Instagram accounts, with Stefani admitting that "dreams do come true."

According to Page Six's sources, the wedding was conducted in a chapel that the country singer had built on his property with the intention of marrying Stefani. "Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help. It’s really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year," a source revealed in December 2020. Elle reported that many guests including Stefani's parents, Dennis Stefani and Patty Flynn, were seen attending the reception.

There were 40 people who arrived at the intimate wedding which was officiated by TODAY and The Voice host Carson Daly, reports Yahoo! News. Among three posts, there was a video of Stafani flipping her wedding veil back and revealing her bridal glow and a neat white ribbon on top of her head. With this, the wedding speculations finally came to an end, especially after the 51-year-old hinted at it after sharing a picture of herself sipping a glass of wine and holding a present probably from her wedding shower.

Stefani, 51, and Shelton, 45, first met on NBC's reality singing competition The Voice in 2014. The following year they began dating while they were going through public divorces. While Shelton filed for divorce from his second wife Miranda Lambert in July 2015 after four years of marriage, Stefani called it quits with her husband of 13 years Gavin Rossdale just weeks later. By November the same year, the two reportedly started seeing each other. While speaking to Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 Shelton admitted that initially, both thought it was a rebound relationship.

"I remember at that time we were just starting to see each other and we were both going through horrible breakups, divorces, horrible in that it was just sad," said the "God's Country" singer per Yahoo! News. "And there were times where Gwen and I would be like, 'Are we rebounding here? Is that what we're doing together? Because this makes no sense.' And so we would always have these conversations like, 'Oh yeah, we're just getting over our crap with each other.'"

"It was interesting because all of a sudden there was this girl that I was just starting to see and spend time with and that I was obviously crazy about," he added. But as fate would have it, the two fell in love with each other and in October 2020, Shelton popped the question in Oklahoma. Appearing on Today, Stefani revealed that there was "a lot to consider" while deciding whether or not they wanted to get married again. "There's so many people involved. [My] children and their hearts, everybody in my family, his family, we all went through a lot together," she explained.

Although there were some reservations in her mind, Stefani just knew that Shelton was the one. "He's just such a good guy. He's one of the most generous human beings and down to earth. It all sounds generic but it's just so true. He's so gifted, and so unique and talented," she told ET Online. "He really just is my best friend. I feel so excited that I have someone in my life that now I have a chance at happiness. For a long time to come. It's just a blessing, the whole thing. It's a miracle."
