Those who have pets will know the place they have in your life. Be it cats, dogs or any animal, owners look at as their companions. They love them and take care of them like family. Aleecia Dahl’s grandfather is also such a pet owner. He loved his puppy so much that he wanted it to be a part of decision making.

According to The Dodo, the elderly man wanted to get a comfortable piece of furniture. So his family decided to take him to find suitable couches and chairs. However, the grandfather had one small request. He told his family that he wanted his loyal companion to check out the furniture before buying it. If you are wondering who this loyal companion is, it is none other than his dog, Coco.

All he wanted was a chair with a footrest that had ample space for him and his furry four-legged companion. "When grandma and grandpa moved, they [needed to buy] new furniture," Dahl said. "It was Grandpa's requirement that the footrest on his lounge chair was wide enough for him and Coco to sit side by side." So the family took the grandfather shopping. And, of course, he brought Coco along!

The determined grandfather went from store to store with Coco, trying out different furniture until they found the perfect one. "He brought Coco into several stores to try out chairs until he found the perfect one. Coco was always greeted with a smile, as I am sure it's not every day a man and his dog go furniture shopping!" said Dahl.

Soon, after trying out various pieces of furniture. He finally found the cozy lounge chair for both him and the dog.

Aleecia Dahl told the website that Coco is her grandpa’s best friend. "Coco is the dog Grandpa never wanted but cannot live without. They are the best of friends that he never knew he needed."

The pictures of the elderly with his dog on the side captivated many on the internet. Many called it adorable while others regretted not taking their dog while they went furniture shopping. "We should have brought Foxy that day we went for the chair," wrote one user on Facebook. Another said, "Dad should have let Smokey approve his choice of a recliner."

Anyone with a pet would know this grandpa has got his priorities straight!
