The couple announced their pregnancy in September 2020.
Game of Thrones star, Kit Harington and partner Rose Leslie entered parenthood with the birth of their first child together. According to EOnline, the two actors were seen in London with their baby boy on 16 February 2021. People reported that the couple was running errands with the newborn strapped to Leslie's chest. Sources close to the couple stated that the duo was "very very happy!"
The couple confirmed their pregnancy news in September 2020 after the Death on the Nile star debuted her baby bump in UK's Make Magazine. Though Leslie did not reveal much about the pregnancy, she briefly spoke of her life with Harington during the pandemic at their weekend Tudor manor in East Anglia.
"What a glorious thing to be able to run to the countryside and recoup. It's a great privilege to be surrounded by greenery, birdsong and hedgerows, and our delightful neighbors. It's so peaceful," said the actress.
Later, speaking to The New York Post, Leslie touched upon the news of their baby. She shared her excitement and said, "I am thrilled to be expecting and I can't wait to meet the new member of our family!"
Harington, on the other hand, had spoken of his dream of becoming a father. "The most important job I'll ever have is about to finish. Well, not the most. Hopefully, I'll be a father," said the actor to InStyle, according to People.
The couple met each other in 2011 during the Game of Thrones shooting. Leslie was cast to play Harington's lover in the series. Though their on-screen romance came to an end, their off-screen romance continued. During an interview with Vogue Italia, Harington revealed that he fell in love with the actress while they were shooting the second season of the series in Iceland.
"Because the country is beautiful, because the Northern Lights are magical, and because it was there that I fell in love. If you're already attracted to someone, and then they play your love interest in the show, it's becomes very easy to fall in love...," said the actor, as quoted by EOnline.
In September 2017, the couple got engaged. Unlike following the current trend of announcing it on social media, they declared their happy news through a classified advert in The Times. Less than two years later in 2018, the couple tied the knot in Scotland.
The couple who prefers a private life is yet to comment on the birth of their child.
