Nicole Barnes was discovered unresponsive in her home after she failed to pick up her older children from school.
A 29-year-old mother was found dead on the sofa at her residence in Hyuton, Merseyside where she was with her daughter Delilah, 3, who remains unhurt. Nicole Barnes, a doting mother of four children, was discovered unresponsive in her home after she failed to pick up her older children from school, reported the Daily Mail. The school authorities alerted Nicole’s partner Craig Sharnock, 36, over a call, inquiring about the mother after she failed to show up on time to pick up the children. Gemma, a close friend of Nicole, rushed to the home, only to find her dead, on the couch. She tried her best to resuscitate Nicole before the arrival of the paramedics but unfortunately, she couldn’t be saved.

As reported by Liverpool Echo, the cause of Nicole’s sudden death is unknown at present and the family is looking forward to further explanations after the post-mortem examination. Nicole's three-year-old daughter and the other children - Nieve, 10, Scott, 7, and Tom, 5 — currently reside with Craig. Nicole's family revealed that she was "fit, healthy, and never had anything wrong with her" prior to the mishap. Sharnock faces the challenges of providing for the family as well as taking care of his four children, out of which one is autistic. A cousin of Nicole, Kim Jowett has set up a Gofundme page to help support Craig and the children, and it has raised more than £26,000 already.
