Millionaire Father Posts Ad Offering £240,000 To Suitable Man Who Will Marry His Virgin Daughter

He believed that social media was the right choice to find a suitable son-in-law who would take care of his daughter and run his multi-million dollar business.

Given how times are changing, it isn't surprising for a lot of people to turn to social networking and dating apps to find suitable partners who are looking to settle down. But here's a father to turned to social media to find a suitor for his young daughter, in what can only be described as an unconventional ad. Arnon Rodthong believed that social media was the right choice to find his future son-in-law. The 58-year-old millionaire decided to take matters into his own hands in order to find a suitable husband for his daughter, Karnsita. And in the process, he's made a rare, and some might say lucrative, proposition to anyone who steps forward to tie the knot with his 26-year-old English-speaking virgin daughter.

The millionaire from Thailand is ready and willing to give off ten million Thai baht, which is £240,000, to his daughter's future husband! But that's not all. According to the Daily Mail, he is also giving off his entire estate to his future son-in-law. Arnon is a wealthy owner of a durian fruit farm in the Chumphon province of southern Thailand. When he decided to make an offer to find a suitable husband for his daughter, he mentioned that Karnsita joins him in running his family business, can speak the languages of English, Thai and Chinese well, and is also a virgin.

The father is not concerned about which country or where the prospective husband comes from. All he wants is a son-in-law who will take care of his daughter and run the business well. Arnon also isn't concerned about the dowry which is usually given by a man to his future wife, which is customary in certain parts of Thailand. He is willing to forgo this "fee" as long as he finds someone who he can trust will "work hard and make Karnsita happy".

Arnon is also someone who's not worried about how many college degrees the man will have. "I want someone to take care of my business and make it last. I don't want a person with a bachelor's, or master's or philosopher's degree," he said. He also went on to say, "I want a diligent man. I just want someone with a hard-working attitude. That's all."

What's most interesting is that Arnon actually has several other children, and one would think that Arnon would hand down his business to one of his sons. He is looking forward to passing the legacy on to an outsider that he can trust. He said, "As soon as I have an in-law, I will give up all my assets to him."

Although some would find the offer quite bizarre, his daughter was able to see the light-hearted side of it. She said, "I first found out about my father's post when my friends showed me. I was surprised but I can see the funny side to it, too."

Karnsita comes from a family that's known to see 50 tonnes of durian fruit processed every single day. She is also daughter to a man who has several properties and land, not to mention his farm is the biggest one in the area. The wealthy Buddhist loves gold amulets too.

After getting to know about her father's proposition, she mentioned that her future husband wouldn't have things so easy when it comes to getting his hands on the money, because she has plans of her own. Her idea is "...to use it herself for plastic surgery in Korea."

When it comes to what she is looking for in her future husband, she too doesn't have too many conditions. She said, "It is true that I am still single. If I have to get married with someone, I only want him to be a diligent and good person who loves his family."
