"Family Killer" Chris Watts' 4YO Girl Begged Him To Spare Her Life After She Saw Her Dad Kill Her Sister

Chris Watts's daughter, Bella, saw her father wrapping her mother's body in a sheet. She even asked him to take her to the hospital.

Trigger warning: Contains graphic details of murder that some readers may find distressing.

"Family Killer" Chris Watts watched his little daughters play, and giggle in front of his eyes. They called him their hero and loved him very much, but little did they know their father would be their killer.

Watts from Colorado mercilessly killed both his daughters after murdering his pregnant wife, Shanann on August 13, 2018. His eldest daughter, Bella, who watched him smother her younger sister Celeste to death, pleaded with her dad to spare her. However, the ruthless man did not change his mind.

According to Mirror, the 4-year-old implored her father. She said, "Please, daddy, do not do to me what you just did to Cece."

Steven Lambert, the lawyer representing Shanann's family, spoke of the harrowing events that took place on the day of the murder.

"She and Chris had got into a fight. They made up. They were getting along really well. Later on, they got into a fight again. In that fight, he essentially confessed to having an affair, that he wanted a divorce," said Lambert, according to Mirror.

He added, "That it was pretty much over between them, and she had said something to the effect of, 'well you're not going to see the kids again.' As a consequence of that conversation, he strangled her to death."

After Watts killed Shanann, he wrapped her body in a white sheet. While he was doing it, Bella walked into the room. She knew something was not right, and asked, "What are you doing to mummy?"

Recalling the moment, Watts told officers, "I was just getting the sheet off the bed and she walked in, and she had her little pink blanket with her. She was like, 'What's wrong? What's wrong with mommy?'" according to ABC7. He continued, "She started crying a little bit, was like, 'what's wrong with mommy?"

Watts then loaded Shanann's body into his truck, along with his two daughters, who were alive at the time. He drove them to his work site that was located 45 minutes away from their home. Unaware of her father's evil act, little Bella asked him to take her mother to the hospital. However, the man did not pay any attention to his daughter's cries.

After reaching the site, Bella watched her father kill her sister with her favorite blanket. "He walks over and takes Cece's favorite blanket and smothers her," said Lambert, according to Mirror. Watching her father's cruel act, Bella managed to unbuckle. However, she could not escape her fate. The toxicology report obtained stated the little girl bit her tongue and fought to stay alive when her father suffocated her, according to Daily Star.

Though Watts initially pretended to be innocent, the investigators linked the dots together after finding out about his affair with a co-worker. He later confessed to the three murders. In August 2018, he pleaded guilty to the murder of his wife, two daughters, and their unborn baby. Consequently, he was given five life sentences in November 2018. He is now placed at a maximum-security prison in Wisconsin.

Despite his cold-blooded crime, Watts's family defended him and even said they forgive him during the court hearing.

"I have always loved you and I still do. We love you and forgive you, son," said his mother Cindy, according to The Sun, US. The mother later blamed the late wife for the murder and stated their relationship was "very hard." "He was normal, he didn't have a temper, he was just easy-going like his Dad. He's not a monster," said Cindy, according to ABC11.
