Dealing with Gen-Z kids it’s a difficult task on its own and if someone has a teenager to raise then they should level up as parents as well. Teenhood is a rebellious phase no doubt but these parents on TikTok shared their strategy for dealing with their 13-year-old and the community is losing it upon finding out the difficulties they face and how they cope with it.
Greg Reed (@anoldman1970 on Tiktok), shared his ongoing rough years of parenting a teen. Greg revealed that he holds a weekly strategy meeting with his wife to figure out ways in which they can handle their teenage daughter and all the chaos that comes along. Several parents on the platform seem to agree with the topics Greg discussed and they went hysteric over how relatable their situation as a parent is.
“You know you have a 13-year-old daughter when your mom and I have to sit down and do a strategy meeting once a week to figure out how to deal with her?” Reed playfully talks to the camera as his wife can be heard chuckling in the background. In one of their recent strategy meetings, Reed and his wife have “figured out that their daughter is in her opposite mode.” This makes Reed’s wife laugh even harder.

“Anything we tell her, she wants to do the opposite, so we just had a strategy meeting on what to tell her to get her to do the things we want her to do,” Reed adds in the clip. “The other day, we told her, ‘Hey, you can sleep in today because we gotta do some stuff. We’ll take you to school later.’”

As his wife continues cracking up in the background, Reed reveals that the following morning, their daughter “had already gotten up and got to school by herself. I didn’t have to wake her up or nothin’! Opposite,” he recalls. Before concluding the video, he promises to update the viewers on his parenting journey and said, “So that’s what we’ve figured out. We don’t know how long this will last.”
The video was swarmed with funny and thoughtful comments from other parents on TikTok and one such user wrote: "Advanced Parenting Level Unlocked."

“I’m 36 and just found out that my parents would actually bet on who I’d get mad at that day,” joked another user. “Y’all down in the war room making plans,” one viewer playfully added as well. But without a doubt, Reed and his wife make a great team indeed when it comes to handling their daughter and holding meetings to deal with her.
