Chris Evans Accidentally Posts Nude Photo of Himself | Twitter Users React In An Unexpected Way

Chris Evans' brother dropped a cheeky tweet after social media went wild over his leaked picture.

Captain America star Chris Evans became the talk of the town over the weekend. His accidental post became a hot topic of discussion on social media and it would not be an exaggeration to say users just went wild. According to US Weekly, the Marvel star posted and deleted a nude picture while attempting to upload an Instagram video on 12 September 2020.

The 39-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a video of himself and a few friends playing a game of Heads Up. At the end of the clip, it showed the actor's camera roll that displayed a "black-and-white d–k" picture. Apart from the nude image, the camera roll also had a meme of Evans that stated, "Guard That P–sy.”

Though the actor realized the blunder and quickly deleted it, there was no coming back from what was done. Screenshots from the clip were circulated all over social media and the accidental leak was celebrated with humor over public platforms, especially Twitter. More than  200,000 tweets addressed the leak and many creative minds found plausible reasons for the leak.

“chris evans did nothing wrong he just saw marvel stans asking for content it’s our fault for not being more specific,” wrote one fan. Another stated, "Chris Evans deciding to save 2020 by leaking his own nudes."

"chris evans leaking chris evans nudes is the highlight of my Saturday," wrote one on Twitter.

Others stated that the star should take lessons on how to trim a video.  One suggested, "Chris Evans needs to take lessons from Kim Kardashian on how to trim videos." While most people were making use of their creative minds and crafting sarcastic and funny captions, Evans's fans came to his rescue.

In an effort to free the social space of Evans' nude pics, they began posting cute and adorable pictures of the actor. They also encouraged others to stop the spread. "friendly reminder that chris evans is one of the sweetest men who (very publicly) suffers with crippling anxiety, and you should block & report anybody who is sharing that nude picture because this angel deserves nothing but love," wrote one concerned fan.

Another wrote, "If you are here to see #ChrisEvans nudes... you disgust me. No one deserves to be treated like that and it is and(sic) invasion of privacy. Instead here is a Hilarious pic of him with a mustache." Some fans warned others from continuing the spread by stating about the actor's past concerns.

"Before sharing Chris Evans nude, remember that the actor suffered an anxiety disorder with the rise of his Hollywood career and even refused to be Captain America on several occasions for fear that fame would affect him and his family. #ChrisEvans," wrote one fan.

Few were delighted to see the attempts of those trying to hinder the further circulation of the image. They applauded the respect they showed to the actor. "I love that Chris Evans accidentally leaked his own nudes and people have flooded his hashtag with pictures of him with his dog or memes to try and stop it spreading. I think that’s the same energy he gives to the world," wrote a fan.

In the meantime, these attempts also sparked a discussion on how it would have been different if it was a woman's leaked image. "amazing how chris evans stans try to cover up his leaked nudes with photos of him and puppies and stuff. and that's sweet move. but in the meanwhile we as a society still continue to shame and degrade women whose nudes are leaked. it's the misogyny and hypocrisy for me," wrote one.

Besides fans, a few celebrities too commented on the incident. “Was off social media for the day yesterday. So. What’d I miss?” wrote Evans's little brother, Scott Evans, according to hype.

Chrissy Teigen, on the other hand, tried to normalize the situation without even mentioning Evans. She tweeted saying, “My WhatsApp automatically saves every photo to my roll so any boobs in my phone are my girlfriends showing me their boobs or boobs they hate or boobs they love or yeah def also my boobs. I’d say 80 percent of my roll is whatsapp nonsense between friends.”

She continued, "Tons of pics of the kids between families, easy when it saves. It just means that every once in a while there is a crazy random meme I don’t recall in my roll!"

Evans has not commented on the social media frenzy.
