Being a bridesmaid is amongst the greatest joys for every girl dreaming about the D-day of her friends. But this young lady is rather worried and distressed about the idea of being a bridesmaid in North England. In an anonymous post written by her she claims that the would-be bride, her friend is generally a calm person but has asked rather sternly of her friends to be present at the wedding without any coats to beat the cold, which kept the Redditors rolling with quick-witted comments and suggestions.
The Redditor with the username u/Due-Resolve4835 explains her situation to know if she was wrong for asking the bride to allow her to wear coats, as she writes on Reddit “I’ve been asked by a close friend to be a bridesmaid for her wedding. We’ve been friends for years and she’s usually fairly calm. But the wedding is this weekend. It is in the rural north of England (very north) and the temperatures are set to be -4 (degrees centigrade) with highs of 1 degree. This is COLD,” she writes in detail to let her readers be aware of the circumstances.
“We are wearing thin, viscose Ghost dresses and open-toe shoes. We’ve been told we are absolutely NOT allowed to wear coats throughout the whole day since it will “spoil the photos”, she writes expressing how worried she is about the weather conditions and the wedding of her friend as she states further, “I’m genuinely dreading this wedding now since I am quite thin and feel the cold horribly. I also am worried for my health!”

She tells her fellow Redditors that “When I asked about alternative plans due to the super cold weather she just basically told us all the lump it,” due to which after a word with her close friend and upon her suggestion, she decided to go about it on Reddit while staying anonymous and perhaps be able to find a solution. As the writer concludes she is confused if she is wrong or “causing drama” and “Will the photos be ruined?” as “All the other bridesmaids were very silent on the WhatsApp group so that wasn’t very helpful either!”

Reaching out to the post, many supported the writer and asked her to relax for being human with human concerns, “Take coats off for pics! Who has an outdoor wedding in these extreme temperatures?!” wrote one user, while another suggests “Oh, but just think of the picture opportunities! - the arrival of the ambulance, the fashionable warming blankets, and the delightful wail of the ambulance as it takes away most of the female members of the bridal party..” in sarcastic context.

Weddings are all about being surrounded by close warm faces, who celebrate your big day in fun and frolic ways. Some often tend to forget that if it's causing hassles and inhibitions, then it is going to be fun neither for the guests nor for the would-be couple.
