While we think it's all easy for the rich and famous, Beyoncé puts forward the realities of her life. Though she had a troubled phase, she emerged stronger than ever.
For years, Beyoncé has ruled the world of music with her killer dance moves, impressive vocals, and an incomparable attitude. This Texas-raised woman became a global face with her impeccable talent and won numerous awards including 23 Grammys. From Destiny's Child to Everything is Love, she has delivered quite a few top hits and has proven herself again and again. While the world recognizes her as one of the greatest musicians, it also considers her one of the strongest and most powerful women in the world.
Though many may think that her life is nothing less than perfect, Beyoncé has had her ups and downs. Her songs and albums were always on the top of every chart but the now 37-year-old singer struggled with her personal life for a long time. Beyoncé who has been married to Jay-Z since 2002 went through some of the darkest days in their relationship between 2014 - 2016.
Rumors and gossip about her husband's infidelity spread and the singer who was also a mother to Blue Ivy Carter was left to deal with her marriage which was hitting rock bottom. But Beyoncé, who is often looked up to as a symbol of empowerment and strength, especially for the millennial generation, emerged stronger than ever.
In 2016, the singer released the album Lemonade that reports say refer to the betrayal and unfaithfulness she experienced from her partner. It was around the same time that Jay-Z was working on his album 4:44. According to ABC, Jay-Z and Beyoncé recorded the two albums in joint recording sessions. Jay -Z said, "We were using our art almost like a therapy session. And we started making music together."
The couple is notoriously private about their personal life.
“There are many shades on every journey. Nothing is black or white. I’ve been through hell and back, and I’m grateful for every scar. I have experienced betrayals and heartbreaks in many forms. I have had disappointments in business partnerships as well as personal ones, and they all left me feeling neglected, lost and vulnerable,” wrote Beyoncé in Vogue talking about her challenges.
Though she was bruised and scared, Beyoncé did not let the world decide the future of her relationship or her career. The singer who reflected her past gained the courage and confidence to fix what was broken. "Only when I saw that clearly was I able to resolve those conflicts in my own relationship. Connecting to the past and knowing our history makes us both bruised and beautiful," wrote Beyoncé.
The iconic singer who overcame the painful phase of her life, later told that it made her a stronger and more powerful woman. "Through it all, I have learned to laugh and cry and grow. I look at the woman I was in my 20s and I see a young lady growing into confidence but intent on pleasing everyone around her. I now feel so much more beautiful, so much sexier, so much more interesting. And so much more powerful."
The iconic star who has often opened up about her personal life is an inspiration to millions of women around the world.
