Beth Chapman Becomes Emotional About Daughter Neglecting Her On Mother's Day, Amidst Battle With Cancer

Beth Chapman has been going through a lot recently. The 51-year-old took to social media to let out her grievances with stepdaughter Lyssa.

Every mother would expect their daughter to do something special on Mother's Day. Maybe a phone call or a small card sent from their loving daughter. Beth Chapman who was recently diagnosed with stage four lung cancer is unhappy with her daughter.

According to the website Pop Culture, the celebrity took to Twitter to show her disappointment in her daughter, Lyssa Chapman. "I’m very disappointed today. knowing that not only did my daughter [Lyssa] not acknowledge me on Mother’s Day yet texted some of my friends wishing them a [happy Mother's Day] She decides to exclude her dad and I from ABBIES graduation On Friday," wrote the star on Twitter. Beth also added that she could have done anything to be there at her granddaughter's graduation.

Following the tweet, several fans of the reality show star commented on the post. While some sympathized with her situation, some fans questioned why she chose to post it on Twitter than calling her daughter privately. Beth responded to the question saying, "Because she doesn't answer my calls and has us blocked so I'm going to reach my child how I see fit," quoted Pop Culture.

51-year-old Beth and Duane Chapman have only two children together. However, she has other kids from her previous marriage and also stepchildren from her husband Duane. Lyssa, 31 is the daughter of Duane Chapman and his third wife Lyssa Rae Brittain.

Beth who became very emotional about the incident went further to say how hurt she was of the lack of concern from her stepdaughter. "It's the most hurtful act to not acknowledge the woman who gave you life or [the one who] saved it. It's a thankless job sometimes and one that requires [patience] and forgiveness. [I've] been blessed with my kids and my bonus kids I love them all equally," said the star on Twitter.

Fans related to her as she talked about her struggles with cancer and the support she received from her fans. "My life would not have been the same without them, however, at the end when they are not there you wonder if you ever meant anything to them at all," she wrote. She also revealed that she decided not to take chemo on Mother's Day placing her hope in God.

However, her step-daughter broke the silence and responded to the tweet. She wrote, "So just to recap. 1. I did write on Mother's Day. 2. You had no plans to attend Abbie's graduation as you're off island. 3. You and Dad are not blocked and you know it." She assured her mother that she had not intentionally excluded her out of their life. Although Lyssa hasn't had the best relationship with her family, she had asked fans to pray for Beth in 2018 when cancer was discovered in her throat and lungs.
