“My wife, the love of my life, is fighting for her life. Instead of being at home helping her, I’m out here looking for you. I’m warning you in advance," he said.
The Chapman family is overcoming their own personal battles, heading out for a new adventure on the side while the battle against cancer takes centre stage. Beth Chapman and her dedicated husband have given fugitives a fair warning because this time as they bring back the next edition of Dog’s Most Wanted with a thirst for vengeance. Even as she faces a second battle against throat cancer, Beth's husband Duane “Dog” Chapman is taking forward his role as the bounty hunter for the WGN's series.
In an exclusive with People, the trailer for the show revealed Duane “Dog” Chapman and Beth Chapman side by side, ready to jump back in action and send a strong message to those on the run, warning them that this time there will be no mercy.
"Duane ‘Dog’ Chapman here," he said in the trailer. "My wife, the love of my life, is fighting for her life. Instead of being at home helping her, I’m out here looking for you. I’m warning you in advance. May God have mercy on you when I get you because I won't."
Beth Chapman chimed in and said, "You’ve been warned."
Even with the cancer having returned to their life, they are not letting it stop them and continue to keep the faith. When 51-year-old Beth Chapman spoke at the Source Church Bradenton in Florida, she spoke about how she doesn't question what's happening to her.
"I don’t go to God and go….why did I get cancer?" she said, according to e-News.US. "He’ll roll his eyes at me again, because I know why — because it is the ultimate test of faith. It is the evidence of things hoped for and it is the substance of things not known."
The last thing that Beth Chapman wants is for the cancer to stop her from living life to the fullest. Previously, Duane Chapman revealed how his wife wanted to continue their adventures with each other.
"She has told me repeatedly that if these are her last days on earth she wants to spend every moment with me on the hunt, living life to the fullest and enjoying the time we have left together," he said in an interview with the Daily Mail. "The best part of my job is having her by my side on every journey. I can't imagine a day without her and think deep down inside she is always concerned for my safety because she wants the security of knowing I come home to her every night."
They have strengthened and supported each other through the worst times, and it doesn't seem like one will leave the other's side to fight their battles alone. "My baby has cancer and she is fighting like hell. I have cried a lot over this because Beth is my everything," he said.
They have admitted that cancer is probably the worst storm that they have had to overcome. But giving up is not an option. Duane Chapman added, "Despite all of the obstacles I have overcome, this is by far the biggest test of my life and mark my words, I will not let her die. She is my rock and my bodyguard. I will do everything I can to keep her here."
When she addressed the church congregation, she said, “Chemotherapy is not my bag people. Sorry, that’s not for me. So for me, this is the ultimate test of faith. This is my ultimate lesson. And it will either be taught to me or to you.”
Beth Chapman is bringing her positive attitude to the fight and the show's return is a way of showing fans how life can still go on when you don't allow your problems to consume you. Beth Chapman said that there's still a “lot to do” in life and the “Lord of impossible miracles is going to show up big”.
