Benjamin Keough's girlfriend wrote an emotional post portraying the beautiful bond they shared.
Witnessing the death of your loved one is devastating. Just the sight of it will remain imprinted in your head forever. The death of Elvis Presley's grandson, Benjamin Keough caused immense pain for their family. According to the latest reports by the Daily Mail, the 27-year-old killed himself in front of his loved ones.
Benjamin shot himself dead at a party organized for his girlfriend, Diana Pinto, and his brother-in-law, Ben Smith-Petersen. Close family and friends were partying with Benjamin at his mother, Lisa Marie Presley's $1.8 million home in Calabasas, California on 12th July 2020.
During the early hours of Sunday, neighbors heard a woman screaming "don't do it." The woman is believed to be Benjamin's girlfriend. Soon after the police arrived at the scene and found the young man dead in the bathroom. Benjamin had shot himself in the head after locking himself in the bathroom. Local authorities confirmed that the cause of death was 'Intraoral shotgun wound' and not a gunshot wound to the chest as previously reported, according to the Daily Mail.
However, more details of the death came to light after Diana posted a tribute to her boyfriend of more than 4 years. The heartbroken girlfriend took to Instagram to talk about the demise of her love. She stated that she did not know what to do without him in her life anymore and described Benjamin as "the most beautiful boy" she had ever seen.
"You make everyone around you light up the second you step into the room. You touch every single soul around you. You love your Sunday morning toons and chocolate milk. I promise to always honor you on Fancy Fridays," wrote the 27-year-old woman.
She continued, "Your laugh is heard all over the world now. You made me the luckiest girl in the world, to have you, to hold you, to love you, and to be loved by you are the only things that have ever mattered. You are my whole world and my whole life, you live with me now every day in my heart, in my soul and in my mind. My travel partner. My best friend," according to the Daily Mail.
Further, she promised to hold on to the beautiful memories they made together. "I will cherish all the memories we’ve made together and keep them close to my heart. I feel your silliness within me still making me laugh. Every second of every day I think of you, now I know the true meaning of grief. Please give me strength to keep going because I don’t know how I’m supposed to do this life without you," wrote Diana, according to the Daily Mail. She concluded the post by saying that he was the love of her life for eternity.
"You will always be the love of my life, my everything. Big pies little pies, te amo mas que el sol y la luna mi amorsito [I love you more than the sun and the moon my little love]. Love forever, Honu," wrote the woman. Along with the emotional post, the woman also shared pictures of the couple depicting the love and romance they shared over the years.

Many close to Benjamin stated he struggled to live up to his family name. "That kind of pressure is definitely a part of what happened," he said. "It's a tough thing when you have a lot of pressure with your family and living up to a name and an image. It's a lot of pressure. It's almost like you're pressured into having to be a musician, having to be an actor. It was good for him to go around the world and discover himself and have his own friends. You never know what triggers it. You never know ... It's so random," said Benjamin’s friend, musician Brandon Howard to People.
Meanwhile, his mother Lisa Marie Presley is grieving the loss along with the rest of the family.
