Savage 82YO Grandma Defended Herself Against Intruder Who Broke Into Her Home, Leaving Him Unable To Move

Willie Murphy is a bodybuilder. However, the intruder did not know he was messing with the wrong woman. She attacked him and left him unable to move.

Senior citizens are usually categorized as a vulnerable section of society. Most people view them as individuals who require additional assistance and care. These factors have also resulted in them becoming victims of crime. However, one grandmother proved all these stereotypes wrong.

According to CNN, 82-year-old Willie Murphy was getting ready for bed at her home in Rochester, New York on the night of 21 November 2019 when the incident occurred. It was just after 11 PM when a young man aged 29-year-old started crying for help outside her door, reported Daily Mail. “He was outside and saying, ‘Please call an ambulance,’ saying, ‘I’m sick, I’m sick,’” recalled  Murphy.

However, knowing something was not right, the clever grandmother immediately rang the police and refused to let the stranger into her house. What followed next was unexpected. The angry young man broke into her house. “I hear a loud noise. I’m thinking, 'What the heck was that? The young man is in my home. He broke the door,” said the grandmother.

Though she was shocked by the intruder, she knew what to do right away. She hid in the dark while the young man walked through the house waiting for the right opportunity to attack. Being an award-winning bodybuilder and a woman who works out almost every day, her reflexes were quicker. She grabbed the closest thing she could get and attacked the intruder. “He picked the wrong house to break into. I took that table and I went to working on him," she said. "And guess what? The table broke," said Murphy.

She continued hitting the man with the metal legs of the table and kept jumping on him a couple of times. Once the intruder was injured, the lady ran to her bathroom to get a bottle of shampoo. She then poured it all over the man's as he tried to get up. “I grabbed the shampoo. Guess what? He’s still on the ground. In his face, all of it, the whole thing. I got the broom. He’s pulling the broom. I’m hitting him with the broom,” said the elderly woman.

She continued to whack him. The intruder then decided to leave the house. "He wants to get the heck out of there. And I'm trying to help him get out of the house, but he's too heavy. I can't move him. He's dead weight," said the woman who can dead-lift 225 pounds. Soon, the police arrived and found the man lying in the house. They applauded the woman and even took selfies with her. "So they come in. He's laying down already because I had really did a number on that man. I'm serious," said Murphy. She continued, "The officers that came wanted to go on my front porch and take selfies with me.”

The intruder was taken to the hospital while the elderly woman was hailed a hero. Murphy hopes her story becomes an inspiration to people of all ages.
