6-YO Survived After Being Run Over by 18,000Lbs Bulldozer | His Mom Is Amazed by His Positivity and Strength

Bodie's recovery has been miraculously fast despite suffering multiple injuries and testing positive for COVID-19. He started walking just four days after the accident.

Bodie Boring, a 6-year-old boy from Texas, is recovering after being hit by an 18,000-pound bulldozer. He remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after suffering from fractures in his pelvic bone, two lung punctures, a blood clot in his brain and a brain bleed, per CBS affiliate KBTX

The accident happened on July 27, Wednesday when Bodie was at the job site with his father. According to his mother, Samantha Boring, he was also diagnosed with COVID-19 on Monday. He had a 103-degree fever but is recovering well from his injuries.

Samantha further told the outlet, "He has amazed me so much. His spirit has been so positive this whole time. Even in his worse pain, he’s just been amazing." Bodie was walking alone to the shower on the same day. He was strolling along the hospital corridor with a walker by July 31, four days after the accident. His mother said, "You may be tough but you aren’t walking 4 days after getting ran over by an 18,000 lb bulldozer tough," per Miami Herald. His family also posted a video of him trying to walk in his hospital room, indicating progress.

Doctors were able to control Bodie's brain hemorrhage and ensure that the clot had not shifted. The initial MRI was normal, but because Bodie was experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness, a second test on July 29 revealed he had a blood clot on his brain. Samatha wrote on Facebook, "Although it is scary with him still having the blood clot they said they will still monitor him closely with frequent follow ups & imaging so that give me a little comfort. They already referred us to a physical therapist & for occupational therapy in College station."

Bodie has a long way ahead to recovery and will still have to continue with his follow-up appointments with neurology & hematology. Stating that Bodie's recovery was not possible without a miracle, Samantha wrote that she never believed anyone could survive the kind of tragedy her son has been through. She also stated that Bodie himself shared similar sentiments with her. "Bodie told me, ‘Mommy I knew when I saw that blade about to hit me that I was gonna die."

But she is grateful and said, "We are so blessed. God is Good all the time #BodieStrong #bodietough." She added, "This is a miracle, and there’s only one explanation as to why he’s still here and I truly believe that that’s God."

A GoFundMe campaign has been started for financial aid for Bodie's medical expenses. The campaign has raised over $50,000 for the youngster.
