In an extreme turn of events, a 22-year-old boy was shot by his ex-girlfriend's father to stop him from entering their family home and meeting his daughter. The 22-year-old boy was identified as James Rayl who was seen to be trying into the house of Allyson Duckro who happens to be his ex-girlfriend. The whole incident was captured in the ring camera, reported DailyMail. Mitchell Duckro, who is Allyson's dad shot Rayl three times as he attempted to get into their property in Sidney, Ohio on July 31st. The 52-year-old dad warned Rayl to leave his daughter alone and get away from his property. And mentioned that he has a gun. The video shows, Rayl ringing the bell continuously even after the Duckro family refused to open the door. After his initial attempts fail, the boy opens the screen door and throws his weight onto the wooden door. He keeps banging on the door by slamming his shoulder against it which resulted in it opening a few inches. "James no, get off my porch. 'I have a gun,'' said Mitchell before shooting through the door. When Rayl didn't leave even after the warning, Mitchelle aimed and shot Rayl in the shoulder twice and once in his back. As the injured Rayl makes his way down the porch steps and walks a short distance away from the Duckro's house, he collapses in the middle of the pathway.

Duckro's neighbors rushed to the scene after hearing a gunshot go off. Jeffery Hereford can be seen walking across Duckro's front lawn saying, 'Don't shoot me, and 'he don't have no gun'. As they suspected Rayl of carrying a gun. Rayl lay there on the floor for seven minutes and passed away before the local police authorities and emergency medical services arrived at the scene. The first responders declared Rayl dead. His autopsy report stated that he had suffered a fatal wound to the back. According to the investigation, Rayl had reached out to Allyson a day before the incident wherein he expressed his wish to see how she was doing. His voice note stated, "Hi Ally, it's James, I just wanted to reach out to you because I just wanted to see how you're doing. And maybe hear from you if that would be alright I guess. It's been a while since I've talked to you and I don't know, I feel like, I don't know what I feel."
